How We WorkGreenway Quest 2025
Greenway Quest is back for the fourth year in a row! This year, Great Rivers Greenway and the Saint Louis Zoo are partnering to highlight local frogs that you can see and hear along the greenways.
Ten rock finders will be randomly selected to win prizes from Great Rivers Greenway and the Saint Louis Zoo, and one grand prize winner will be randomly selected to win a grand prize including a guided FrogWatch walk with Saint Louis Zoo staff. When you find a rock, enter it into the log below!
Look & Listen
Get out on a greenway to LOOK for hand-painted frog and toad rocks along all 135 miles of greenways. If you find one of our painted rocks, you can take it with you. Be sure to log your rock below to win prizes! These rocks were lovingly painted by teen volunteers of the Saint Louis Zoo ALIVE (Active Leaders in Volunteer Education).
Along the greenways, LISTEN for the southern leopard frog, american toad, and spring peeper program and help care for these local frog species by participating in the FrogWatch Community Science Program. By collecting and contributing information about the frogs and toads you hear, you can help protect their habitats and conservation strategies.
